EXECUTIVE BOARD MEMBERS
Vickie Walker – Director and President
Circle The Wagons Foundation is the brainchild of Vickie Walker. After losing her husband Jeff to a fatal shooting and nearly losing her son AJ as well, she wanted to create an organization that could truly help innocent victims of violent crime. Vickie’s dogged determination and get-it-done approach is making Circle the Wagons a reality. In 2010 Vickie was awarded the Salt Lake Police Department’s Humanitarian of the Year Award.
For most of her professional career, Vickie’s focus has been new business development and marketing. In 1984, she began specializing in the marketing of interior design services for healthcare and senior living facilities. By 1990, she was promoted to vice president at Life Designs in Salt Lake City, Utah. Since 1996, she has been an independent sales representative for home décor, garden and gift lines. In addition, Vickie has served as a board member for South Jordan City Public Arts and is a former regional vice president of the National Association of Senior Living Industries based in Annapolis, Maryland
Jessica Hogan – Director and Secretary
Jessica Hogan, in a nutshell, is an efficiency expert. Her professional career as Operations Manager over the past 11 years has ranged from Law Firms to Financial Planning Firms utilizing her degree in Accounting. Prior, Jessica fulfilled her primary career path for 13 years in the Entertainment Industry in Hollywood, California where she rubbed elbows with the famous as a Videotape Editor, Camera Operator and Technical Director after majoring in Mass Communications at USC. During her tenure with an Estate Planning Firm, she developed substantial relationships with major 501c3 entities nationwide, establishing Charitable Remainder Trusts for affluent clients and drafting retainer contracts for her firm with a select group of Charities.
Jess is also fluent in American Sign Language, which is one of her passions and spends time volunteering for Federal Divisions of the State of Utah as an interpreter.
Dennis Siebenhaar – Director and Treasurer
Dennis R. Siebenhaar is a CPA/Attorney working in the area of tax law. He is a shareholder in the Salt Lake accounting firm of Stayner, Bates and Jensen and has been practicing for twenty five years. Dennis has client service experience in all aspects of corporate, partnership, fiduciary, individual and not-for profit tax reporting. He has a solid background in financial statement analysis with a strong emphasis in tax planning.
In addition, he enjoys representing taxpayers before the IRS and the Utah State Tax Commission. Dennis received his law and accounting degrees from the University of Utah.
COMMITTEE BOARD MEMBERS
David Jones - Director
Dave Jones is a fund raising consultant, political activist and instructor. In his professional life, Dave is a partner in the firm Pathway Associates, a fund raising consulting firm that specializes in coaching non-profit organizations through capital and major gift campaigns. With over fifteen years of fund raising experience, Dave has helped a variety of organizations cumulatively raise in excess of $200 million. In the political sphere, Dave is a former six-term member of the Utah House of Representatives, where he served four years as the Minority Leader. Dave Jones holds a BA in English and Political Science from Weber State University and a Masters of Public Administration from the University of Utah.
Heather A. Robinson
Heather Roberson has been a paralegal and the record manager for SOS Staffing Services, Inc. since 2000. Her practice area involves corporate, employment and administrative law. From 1995 to 2000 Ms. Roberson was a victim advocate for the Salt Lake City Police Department. During her time with the SLCPD she helped to develop a model victim advocate program which included on-scene responders who provided crisis intervention to victims of all violent crimes related to Utah’s Cohabitant Abuse Act, including homicide, sexual assault, child abuse and domestic violence. She also developed the volunteer program and training. This volunteer program trained approximately 50 individuals to give back to the community by supporting the advocates and taking crisis calls 24-hours a day. She was instrumental in developing the stalking cease and desist letter for the advocacy program which is still in use today. From 1993 to 1995 Ms. Roberson worked for the YWCA of Salt Lake City Women in Jeopardy program as a shelter advocate where she provided intake and resource services for women who were in the process of escaping violence. Mrs. Roberson currently serves as a volunteer for the Utah Domestic Violence Link Line. She graduated from the University of Utah with two Bachelor’s Degrees in Anthropology and Behavioral Science and Health.
Melody Ann Fotheringham Mower, M.Ed.
Melody brings a unique knowledge of and passion for education of children to Circle the Wagons. She is responsible for assessment and deaf education of children who are deaf or hard of hearing, age birth to three, in the Jordan School District as the Early Intervention Hearing Specialist for the Utah School for the Deaf and the Blind. She assists families and children who are Deaf with early intervention techniques to maximize listening and language development. She earned a BS degree from Brigham Young University in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology and a master’s degree in Communicative Disorders and Deaf Education from Utah State University. In 2000 and 2002 she assisted with a program co-sponsored by Brigham Young University and The National Institutes of Health to train audiologists and educators in early deaf intervention techniques in Hanoi, Vietnam.
Scott Seeger - Director
Currently, Scott co-hosts the award winning show "Utah's Afternoon News," with Maria Shilaos. He's been with KSL Newsradio 102.7FM/1160AM for over 25 years and says he's "humbled to have been able to work at such a great place, but I can't believe it's been that long!" Scott joined KSL in 1982 as a reporter and covered everything from the police beat to state and local government to politics. However, his professional duties did not end there; he was also KSL Newsradio's Managing Editor and KSL Television's Court and Political Specialist. Scott is a graduate of San Diego State University with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science.
Before coming to Salt Lake City, Scott's broadcast career began at two other legendary radio stations, KFMB and KSDO in San Diego where he cut his teeth in news radio, and a few other things. He has received numerous awards from the Society of Professional Journalists and the Utah Broadcasters Association, including best spot news coverage for the San Francisco earthquake in 1989. Scott also covered the inauguration of the first President George Bush and the execution of serial killer Ted Bundy in Florida.
Tina Redd
Tina Redd is an Interior Designer as well as a Wholesale Furniture Sales Representative, mother, sister, aunt and dog lover! In her professional life, Tina has been involved in interior design in the Salt Lake Community for over 20 years cultivating relationships with independent interior designers and architects. She currently operates the Wholesale Division for Hamilton Park Interiors and loves design and services an extensive clientele base. She holds a BS from the University of Utah in Family and Consumer Studies and a BA from the Salt Lake School of Interior Design.
